Proper Expectations For High School Baseball

As your kid prepares to enter the world of High School baseball, it’s important that you all understand how it’s different from any baseball he’ll have played until now, and to set your expectations accordingly.

High School baseball is, for many people, a goal they have been working towards through many years of youth baseball, whether select or rec. It’s also when the real work starts, as it is really set up around the idea of team success more than the development of individual players. That means that the onus is on players to take the initiative when it comes to understanding what is expected of them rather than waiting for the coaching staff to give them instruction.

As long as your kid has in head in the game and is ready to work for his and his team’s success, it can also be a whole lot of fun!
